Samaad Barnes
I don’t just write about discipline, business, growth, and legacy. I’ve had to live them.
My name is Samaad Barnes. I’m an author, entrepreneur, educator, father, and founder of Pure Love
Pies. My story began with family, the values I was raised on, and a mother whose love, giving spirit, and
recipe would eventually become part of everything I built.
After years of working in education and pouring into young people, I took my mother’s navy bean pie
recipe and a belief in entrepreneurship and ownership and turned it into Pure Love Pies in 2017. What
started with a pie became something much bigger.
